About Christian Union
We are a group of evangelical Christian students passionate about sharing the promise of the Gospel with our university.
The CU meet throughout the week, with a main meeting on Thursdays at 7.15pm in Seminar Room 5 (near the student village). All CU events are open to everyone, you don't need to be a CU regular or even a Christian to come to any of our events. CU is a large group so you'll be made very welcome! We hold regular events throughout the year, check the events page for details.

Core Beliefs
As a CU, we believe in the these key elements:
- The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
- The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.
- The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture, as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
- The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall, rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
- Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
- The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and his ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
- The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
- The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith alone.
- The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
- The one holy universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all true believers belong.
- The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Get Involved!
If you'd like to get involved in CU, then speak to us! The more you put in, the more you'll get out of it. We're always looking for volunteers so contact us. Whether you want to help out with sound, powerpoint, or just putting out chairs then get in touch. Especially if you can spare even half an hour before or after CU just to get the hall set up. We're not looking for a weekly commitment or anything, so just come and lend us a hand!
